Police responded to a call about a vehicle being chased and shot at on Broad Street at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, an NBC10 News report states.
Instead, officers found that a vehicle had crashed into a SEPTA bus at the intersection of Broad and West Rockland streets, according to the NBC10 report. There were no passengers on the bus at the time and the driver was uninjured.
The occupants of the vehicle fled the scene on foot, the report states. The exact number of people who fled is currently unknown.
Investigators believe the vehicle was being chased before it crashed into the bus, but they did not find any bullet holes or shell casings in the area, according to the report.
